Tetris Review

I know I promised a video, but things have happened. I will eventually put a video up, I just have no idea when.

Main Idea
Tetris is a puzzle game and the concept is to get the seven different shapes to form a line at the bottom to score point. The version of Tetris I reviewed is the official Nintendo version, and in my opinion a close second compared to the Atari version.
Graphics
Mediocre, I understand that it is an 8-bit video game, but the Atari version of the game on the NES was miles ahead as far as eye candy.
Sound
Nintendo’s version of Tetris gives you three songs and they’re all annoying as piss. It’s been three days and I still can’t get them out of my head.
Game play
Very solid, one of the best features of the game, line up block, destroy row, it doesn’t get much better than this. Plus you get two different game modes. One is just regular Tetris and the other starts putting blocks in your way and really makes things difficult.
Entertainment
This game will definitely keep you entertained for a few hours and has a high replay value; I just wish they kept the two-player option for Atari’s version.

Final words
If you want to get a Tetris game for NES try and find the MUCH rarer Atari version, but if you can’t wait then Nintendo had a solid game worth $2.50 at your local thrift store or garage sale.
3/5
okay

  2. Nice review, dude. It probably was sort of an easy cash in for Nintendo considering the concept was already there so they didn't have to put in a ton of work.

  8. I love Tetris, I just wish they had a really good, free computer version. There are a few flash or downloadable ones, but the physics are just never right! Great review!
